Hardenbergia violacea
False sarsparilla
A hardy climbing or scrambling plant or groundcover with thick green leaves and purple pea flowers. Grows in full sun or part-shade. Sometimes seen in bush growing up Wattle (Acacia) and flowering at the same time. Flowers attract native bees and butterflies.
Ngunnawal use - when in flower fat fish can be caught. Long stems can be used to make rope or strip. Used as mouthwatch and to treat chest infections.

Uses: plant at edge of microforest, home gardens,
pollinator patches, verges. Can be planted in same hole as other plants.
