Nitrogen fixing tree evergreen tree with pendulous branches. Modified leaves occur as scale like teeth in whorls around branchlets. Furrowed bark on trunk. Plants are either male or female (dioecious). Planted at Watson Microforest. Widespread tree across eastern Australia from Tasmania to Cape York, Qld. Seeds eaten by Yellow-tailed black cockatoos. Male flowers are small and red. Low fire risk.
Uses: microforests, home gardens, birdscapes.
